Jason Booth’s world title fight against IBF super-bantamweight champion Steve Molitor will receive primetime exposure on Sky Sports.
Booth’s first title fight at the Rainton Meadows Arena will be screened between 20:00 – 22:00 on Saturday, September 11 as part of Sky’s new Saturday season of boxing
Promoter Frank Maloney said : “The time of the fight means Jason will get huge mainstream exposure and undoubtedly the biggest TV audience of his career. I would imagine he would be in the ring at 9pm so it also means maximum exposure in Sunday morning newspapers.”
British featherweight champion Martin Lindsay has been added to the card in an eight round contest.
Maloney said : “Martin is closing in on a European title shot and I am certain that sometime next year he will be challenging for a world title in his hometown. Martin brings excitement to the ring and the more exposure he gets the more popular he will become.”
As previously reported by touchline.tv, a new season of boxing coverage commences on Saturday, September 4 on Sky Sports.
