BBC & ITV receive Bafta Sport award nominations

The BBC has received 3 nominations in the Sport category for the 2011 Phillips BAFTA Television Awards.
The first nomination is for BBC One’s coverage of the opening Friday night match of the 2011 6 Nations tournament between Wales and England.
Also nominated is BBC Sport’s Formula 1 team for their production of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix along with the BBC team responsible for coverage of the 2010 Wimbledon championships. The only other broadcaster to receive a nomination in the sport category is ITV for their coverage of the 2009/10 FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Portsmouth on ITV1.
The Bafta Television Awards will be broadcast on BBC One on Sunday 22nd May from 8pm. Sport nominations in full listed below :
