The BBC have announced plans for their forthcoming coverage of the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona.
Britain’s finest athletes are set to battle it out against top European talent in what is seen as a crucial stepping stone to London 2012.
The championships will run between 27 July and 1 August 2010 and coverage will be available across TV (including BBC HD), on-line and radio.
John Inverdale and Jonathan Edwards present BBC TV coverage with Michael Johnson, Colin Jackson and Denise Lewis providing the expert analysis. Commentary comes from Steve Cram, Brendan Foster and Paul Dickenson.
Following on from the European Championships, BBC Sport will also be bringing all the action from the London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on 13 and 14 August.
The BBC has covered this prestigious event for many years, and now continues to broadcast it as one of the IAAF Diamond League events.
BBC Sport signed a new deal earlier this year to broadcast the whole of the IAAF Diamond League through to 2014, demonstrating their continuing commitment to athletics through to London 2012 and beyond.
