Shane Warne is set to make a return to the Sky Sports commentary box this week after making his debut last summer for the Ashes.
The Aussie legend will join Ramiz Raja on the pundit’s panel during coverage of the Pakistan v Australia two-Test series, the first of which commences on Tuesday at Lords. Warne will then return for the first three Tests of England’s four-match series against Pakistan before joining up with the Sky Sports team again Down Under for the 2010/11 Ashes.
“It’s going to be great to be back in the Sky Sports commentary box,” said Warne, “There’s some really exciting cricket to look forward to this summer, not least how England and Australia are shaping up ahead of the Ashes.”
Warne added: “Commentating for Sky Sports during the Ashes will be special too. I had a fantastic time with the guys last year and can’t wait to rejoin them.”
Fellow Sky cricket commentator Ian Botham said : “Who else would you rather have from the Australian camp to join us for our coverage of the Ashes?”. He added : “Shane was a brilliant cricketer and last year proved to be a brilliant commentator. He knows what he’s talking about and provided great insight into the Australian dressing room too.”
