The BBC have announced plans to screen live coverage and highlights of England’s games at this summer’s 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany. The event takes place between 26 June – 17 July with comprehensive coverage also available on Eurosport.
England begin their World Cup campaign against Mexico in a 5pm kick-off on Monday 27th June and will also face New Zealand and Japan in their other group games in Germany. These three fixtures will be live on the BBC Red Button and the BBC Sport website with England’s progress also broadcast on the same outlets. Gabby Logan will present all live England games and live coverage.
The BBC’s coverage of England’s live games will be hosted by Gabby Logan, who will be joined in the studio by ex-Arsenal and England defender Martin Keown and former England midfielder, Jo Potter. Nigel Adderley will be a roving reporter bringing viewers a taste of the colour and atmosphere in Germany.
Guy Mowbray will provide commentary for all the live matches. Co-commenting with Guy will be former Leeds United Ladies striker Lucy Ward.
There will also be a highlights programme featuring all England’s matches on BBC Two at 11.20pm. Highlights of England’s games will also be available on BBC Red Button and BBC Sport Online.
Eurosport will cover all matches in the tournament live providing analysis, live interviews of star players, and behind-the-scenes coverage with presenters Anna Sara Lange and Michelle Segura.

So the BBC have promoted England’s Qtr Final from the Red Button to BBC Two, starting at 4.45pm on Saturday.
