The Football Association have confirmed the two FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Fourth Round replay ties that will feature live on TV. In a controversial move, the fixture list has become so congested that the two TV replays have been scheduled for the same weekend as the fifth round.
Once again both broadcasters are screening the replay of matches previously shown in the 4th round. ESPN will cover Everton’s trip to Chelsea in a re-run of the 2009 FA Cup Final on Saturday 19 February. The game kicks off at 12.30pm.
The second replay will take place on Sunday 20th February as Manchester City play host to Paul Ince’s Notts County side on ITV1 in a 2pm kick-off. County claimed a 1-1 draw against the Premier League big-spenders in the first match between the two at Meadow Lane .
All four clubs will receive The FA live broadcast fee of £72,000. ITV and ESPN have yet to announce which matches they’ll screen from the 5th round of the competition.
