BBC Scotland have announced they will screen live the Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-final between holders Rangers and Motherwell. The Hampden showpiece tie, on Sunday, January 30 will be shown on BBC One Scotland and kicks off at 15:00.
Celtic play Aberdeen 24 hours earlier, hoping to regain the trophy they last won in 2009, after last season’s semi-final defeat by Hearts.
In a change to the normal schedule, both of this season’s semi-finals will take place over one weekend, as opposed to being held on consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. As a result, the four clubs’ scheduled SPL fixtures for that weekend will have to be moved. Celtic were due to travel to Kilmarnock, Rangers were scheduled to host Inverness, Motherwell were to welcome St Mirren to Fir Park and Aberdeen were at home to Hamilton.
