ESPN has announced its next set of live and exclusive Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixtures for February and early March 2012.
The first of the newly confirmed fixtures will see Ally McCoist’s Rangers travel to Dunfermline on Saturday 11 February. The sports media company’s next game on Saturday 25 February features St Mirren, who will be looking to secure a top six league placement – ahead of the SPL end-of-season split – against current relegation candidates Aberdeen.
On Saturday 3 March, Craig Brown’s Aberdeen again feature on ESPN as they face a home game against Celtic. And the following day Dundee United take on the best of the Highlands in the shape of Terry Butcher’s Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
All Clydesdale Bank Premier League ties will be screened live and exclusive on ESPN and ESPN HD with Ray Stubbs presenting the coverage with Derek Rae and Craig Burley overseeing the action from the commentary box. ESPN reporter, Darrell Currie, will be on site for every game securing exclusive interviews with players and managers.
Announcing the selection of live matches, Jeroen Oerlemans, Vice President TV Channels, ESPN, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “The Clydesdale Bank Premier League has thrown up some unexpected results so far this season with Motherwell and St Johnstone in the top four and Aberdeen and Hibernian in the bottom half of the table. As well as the race for the title, our next set of live Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixtures will bring fans key games in the battle for relegation as Dunfermline, Aberdeen and Inverness Caledonian Thistle battle to move away from trouble.”
These new fixtures add to ESPN’s already confirmed line-up of Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches over the coming weeks. Its schedule includes : (times stated are kick-off times)
