Europa League double bill on ITV

ITV are to screen a double bill of live Europa League football on Thursday, August 19 as Aston Villa face Rapid Vienna and Liverpool take on Trabzonspor.
Coverage commences at 17:30 on ITV4 with the first leg of the Rapid Vienna v Aston Villa tie from the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium in Austria. The hosts drew twice with Celtic in last season’s competition and will be hoping to take advantage of the uncertainty at Villa since the departure of manager Martin O’Neill.
Liverpool’s home first leg encounter against Trabzonspor will be shown live on ITV1 at 19:30 later the same evening. Liverpool have happy memories of their last two matches against Turkish opposition at home – a 3-2 win over Galatasaray in 2006 and an 8-0 thrashing of Besiktas in 2007. Presented by Angus Scott and Dean Saunders, with commentary by Clive Tyldesley and Jim Beglin.
