Europa League group stage conclusion – live TV games

The UEFA Europa League group stages reach a conclusion this week with 15 teams already assured progress to the next stage and 19 others competing for the remaining nine places in the round of 32 on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 December.

Amongst the domestic sides in the competition, only Stoke City are assured of progression to the next round with Fulham, Spurs, Birmingham & Celtic battling for a place in the next round. Matches will be broadcast on ESPN, ITV4 & Channel 5.  Full details below :

Besiktas v Stoke City

Date: Wed 14 Dec | Venue: BJK Inonu Stadium |  Kick-off: 6pm | Coverage : ESPN

Tony Pulis’s Stoke City travel to Istanbul to meet Besiktas in Group E of the UEFA Europa League safe in the knowledge that whatever the outcome they have qualified for the next stages of the competition, however if they obtain a point they will secure top spot in the group.

Fulham v Odense BK

Date: Wed 14 Dec | Venue:  Craven Cottage |  Kick-off: 8.05pm | Coverage : Channel 5

Bobby Zamora returns to the Fulham squad for this vital Europa League clash with Odense.  FC Twente have already won the group, with Fulham in 2nd place, a point ahead of Wisla Krakow.

Fulham will qualify if they win, however if they draw or lose they have to hope that Wisla fail to beat FC Twente.

Shamrock Rovers v Tottenham

Date: Thu 15 Nov | Venue: Tallaght Stadium Kick-off: 6pm | Coverage : ITV4

Birmingham v NK Maribor

Date: Thu 15 Nov | Venue: St Andrew’s | Kick-off: 8.05pm | Coverage : ITV4

Matt Smith presents live action from two of the final games in the Group stages kicking off with Tottenham’s trip to Ireland to play Shamrock Rovers, then Birmingham City entertain Slovenians NK Maribor. Spurs need a sizable victory as well relying on other results from the group to progress in the competition. Birmingham need to win tonight and hope that Braga beat Club Brugge. In this scenario Chris Hughton’s side would have a superior record and progress in the tournament.

Udinese v Celtic

Date: Thu 15 Dec | Venue: Stadio Friuli |  Kick-off: 8.05pm | Coverage : ESPN

Celtic travel to the Stadio Friuli to face Udinese in their final Group I match knowing they need a win to qualify for the next stage.
