Europa League Matchday 1 on TV

The UEFA Europa League is back after the summer break with British clubs holding high hopes this time round. ITV4, Channel 5 & ESPN will screen fixtures involving 5 British Clubs on Matchday 1 on Thursday 15 September.
PAOK Salonika v Tottenham
Date: Thu 15 Sep | Venue: Toumba Stadium | Kick-off: 6pm | Coverage : ESPN
Tottenham travel to Greece to face PAOK at Toumba Stadium in their first game of the UEFA Europa League group stage. Spurs reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season and will be hoping for a succesful European campaign this time around.
Dynamo Kiev v Stoke City
Date: Thu 15 Sep | Venue: Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium | Kick-off: 6pm | Coverage : ITV4
FC Dynamo Kyiv will look to make their continental experience tell as they come up against last season’s losing FA Cup finalists Stoke City FC in their opening UEFA Europa League Group E game. The sides are meeting for the first time in Europe and this is also Stoke’s first meeting with Ukrainian opponents.
Birmingham v Braga
Date: Thu 15 Sep | Venue: St Andrews | Kick-off: 8.05pm | Coverage : ITV4
Birmingham City FC boasted a proud home record in their European games of the 1950s and 1960s and will hope St Andrews is a fortress once again as they host last season’s UEFA Europa League finalists SC Braga in Group H.

Atletico Madrid v Celtic

Atletico Madrid v Celtic at Estadio Vicente Calderon in the first round of matches in the UEFA Europa League group stage. The Bhoys were reinstated in the competiton after UEFA expelled their play-off victors Sion for fielding ineligible players.
Fulham v FC Twente

Fulham FC’s Dutch boss Martin Jol will be up against his countrymen as the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League finalists take on FC Twente in their opening UEFA Europa League Group K game. The sides are meeting for the first time in Europe and this is also Fulham’s maiden experience of Dutch opponents.
