Following a two-month hiatus the UEFA Europa League swings back into action with the inclusion of Manchester United & Manchester City after early Champions League elimination.
Channel 5, ITV1 & ESPN will broadcast the following matches from the 1st leg of the Round of 32 stage on Thursday 16 February.
Ajax v Manchester United – Channel 5 – 5.15pm (k/o 6pm)
Manchester United FC travel to Amsterdam to take on dutch giants, AFC Ajax for their first match in UEFA’s second club competition since 1995. Both sides will be bidding to bounce back from early UEFA Champions League elimination. Live coverage is presented by Jim Rosenthal with Stan Collymore and Pat Nevin. Commentary by Dave Woods and Graham Taylor.
FC Porto v Manchester City – ITV1 (k/o 8.05pm)
Holders FC Porto have been given a stiff test in the shape of fellow autumn UEFA Champions League participants Manchester City FC, who face their first Portuguese opponents in 32 years.
With coverage of the competition promoted to ITV1, Adrian Chiles is joined in the studio by former City manager Peter Reid and Gareth Southgate to see how Manchester City adapt to life after the Champions League as they face a tough first-leg tie against the Europa League holders Porto.
Stoke City v Valencia – ESPN – 8pm (k/o 8.05pm)
Stoke City continue their European adventure against Valencia in the first leg of the Europa League round of 32. Stoke are in the knockout stages of a European competition for the first time and must pull off a result at the Brittania Stadium to stand a chance of progressing.
