No team can play a club from their group or any side from the same association.
All English teams made it through, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all finishing top of their respective groups, with only Arsenal having to settle for a runners up spot.
In the Europa League both Manchester City and Liverpool have progressed into the final 32, with Liverpool going through as group winners. The draw will consist of teams including eight teams transferring from the Champions League.
