Football League announce first TV games of new season

The first live Football League games of the 2011-12 season have been confirmed by the Football League and broadcast partners Sky & BBC.

The Championship will get underway with a Friday night fixture on 5th August as Hull City face newly relegated Blackpool in a 7.45pm kick-off to be screened live on Sky Sports.

Saturday 6th August will see AFC Wimbledon’s first npower League 2 match at home to Bristol Rovers in a 12.45pm kick-off and Leeds United’s opening fixture in the Championship as they visit Southampton at 5.20pm, both matches live on Sky Sports.

On Sunday 7th August the BBC will screen relegated West Ham’s game against Cardiff City in a 1pm kick-off.
