Holland make their first visit to Wembley Stadium in nearly 16 years on Wednesday 29 February to take on England in a friendly international – live on ITV1.
The fixture had originally been due to be played on 10 August 2011, however was cancelled the day before the match on police advice following the London riots.
The match is England’s opening game of 2012 and the first without Fabio Capello at the helm following his dramatic resignation earlier in February. Stuart Pearce takes charge of England for the visit of the 2010 World Cup finalists.
Pearce was in the England team that famously beat Holland 4-1 at Euro 96 in the last Wembley meeting between these teams. Another victory tonight would be a significant boost for England ahead of Euro 2012.
England have face Holland on 18 occasions previously, winning five, losing four and drawing nine – the most recent of which saw a second-half brace from Jermain Defoe secure a 2-2 draw in the Amsterdam Arena in August 2009.
England v Holland live from Wembley is on ITV1 on Wednesday 29 February at 7.30pm (kick off 8pm). Adrian Chiles introduces live coverage with commentary from Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend.
