Sky have confirmed an initial six matches to be shown in 3D in the first part of the new Premier League season.
The matches include the first Super Sunday of the season, the clash between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield on August 15, Manchester United against Liverpool on September 19 and Manchester City against Chelsea on September 25.
Everton feature in two 3D screenings, at Aston Villa on August 29 and at home to Manchester United on September 12 and Wigan Athletic against Chelsea will also feature on August 21.
Sky 3D is now available in more than 1,500 pubs and clubs across the UK and Ireland and over one million sports fans have already marvelled at a range of sports broadcast live in 3D since the channel’s launch. Sky have covered football, cricket, rugby union, rugby league and darts to date. In October Sky plan to launch a residential 3D channel for domestic customers.
