Sky Sports presenter Ali Douglas, is reported to be cutting back on the number of matches she fronts as Sky introduce a rotation policy for their coverage of the new SPL season. The Scottish Daily Record reports that other names in the frame to front the coverage include Sky Sports regulars David Tanner and Jim White.
Ali was the main anchor for live SPL coverage last season but is to take on a string of new projects for Sky as a result of the change. Later this month she will present The Fish-O-Mania Champion of Champions, the country’s biggest angling event and is due to present shifts on Sky Sports News.
An insider said: “Ali was thrown in at the deep end as Sky had just won the rights to broadcast Scottish football again and needed to move quickly. She did a fine job but the bosses have decided to shuffle things a bit. Ali won’t be doing all the games this season. She’ll be doing some shifts for Sky Sports News as holiday cover and she is working on their fishing coverage.”
A Sky Sports spokesman said: “Our presenting and commentary teams have yet to be confirmed for both north and south of the Border and there won’t be any announcements until later in the summer.”
