The 2011 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship season is back with the opening round at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend (22-25 April).
38 riders from eight different nations will be battling at Brands Hatch for the first two wins of the season as reigning champion and HM Plant Honda prepare to defend their crown against the likes of Samsung Crescent Racing’s John Hopkins and Relentless Suzuki’s Josh Brookes. Tommy Hill and Michael Laverty will be targeting a debut win onboard the new Swan Yamaha but the second HM Plant Honda of Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne will be vying for glory at his home circuit on his return to the series.
Eurosport hold the live rights to British Superbikes until 2015 and their coverage of the opening raceday will be broadcast on Eurosport 2 on Monday 25th April from 12:30pm to 6pm. ITV4 hold rights to highlights and will air an hour long programme on Wednesday 27th April from 8pm.
The British Eurosport presenting team will consist of James Whitham, Jack Burnicle, Tony Carter and James Haydon.
