British Eurosport have announced that they will screen the stage finishes of the 2011 Dakar Rally live from Saturday, January 1, 2011. The race will take place outside Africa for the third consecutive year, with the 430 competitors – comprising 51 nationalities – taking to the roads, tracks, mountains and deserts of Argentina and Chile.
Coverage commences on New Year’s Day with the official start, as competitors get used to the conditions over a 377km route from Buenos Aires to Victoria. On day two the competition begins in earnest with a gruelling 566km route from Victoria to Cordoba.
Stage 4 on January 5 sees the rally leaves Argentina to cross the Andes mountain range and eventually arrive in Calama, Chile.
Eurosport will bring daily live coverage of the stage finish, along with highlights from the day’s racing between January 1 – 15.
