The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship (BSB), will continue to be screened on free-to-air network TV after commercial rights holder MotorSport Vision, extended their broadcast agreeent with ITV until 2013.
One-hour highlights programmes from each of the twelve BSB events will be shown on ITV4 on the Wednesday evening after the race weekend and then repeated on Saturday afternoons. Each programme will have a further repeat on ITV1, as well as being available free to view on the ITV Player on itv.com.
The BSB shows, produced by ITV Sport, will feature the best highlights action from the previous weekend’s Superbike races, together with grid walks, post race interviews, behind the scenes features and exclusive competitions.
Niall Sloane, ITV Controller of Sport, said: “I’m delighted that ITV will be the free-to-air home of British Superbikes for the next three years. The series, with its new format continues to provide high quality racing with plenty of drama and thrills. The personalities and skill of the riders ensures compelling viewing throughout the season.”
