ITV4 will show an extra hour of coverage of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season finale at Brands Hatch on Sunday, October 10.

For the first time, four drivers are in with a chance of lifting the coveted Drivers Championship with current points leader Jason Plato being chased by Honda pair Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden, as well as Team Aon driver Tom Onslow-Cole.

The four drivers are currently covered by 24 points but with a maximum of 52 available once bonus points for pole position, fastest laps and leading a lap are taken into account, it remains wide open going into the final three races of the year.

For the first time, UK-based BTCC fans can watch BTCC qualifying in an online broadcast between 15:00 – 18:15 on Saturday 9 October.  Qualifying for Brands Hatch’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship title-decider will be shown live on ITV.com.

Simon Parry from ITV Sport told BTCC.net : “The 2010 BTCC season has once more provided our viewers with sensational action, but to have four drivers going into Finals Day with a chance of the title is something else again – we’ve therefore added an extra hour to our coverage to give what is going to be a fantastic day of sporting rivalry the build-up it deserves. It is going to make for compelling viewing for households right across the UK.”

Louise Goodman and Steve Rider present live coverage on ITV4 from Brands Hatch with commentary from Ben Edwards, Tim Harvey, Richard John Neil and Simon Hill.  Coverage will run between 10:30 – 18:00.
