ITV’s bumper coverage of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship continues this May bank holiday weekend with round 3 at Thruxton live on Sunday 1st May.
The famous high speed Hampshire circuit will play host to the BTCC over the May bank holiday weekend 30 April-1 May. As is tradition at Thruxton, a capacity crowd is expected as fans flock to see their BTCC heroes do battle at speeds nudging the 150mph mark on what is a unique circuit. More so as it’s the BTCC’s only visit to Thruxton this year.
Triple 8′s James Nash is the new championship leader after an exciting weekend at Donington Park and he will hope to continue that form in his turbo-charged Vauxhall Vectra around the Thruxton circuit.
ITV4 and ITV4 HD channels will again be broadcasting live on race day (Sunday) from 11.00am-6.00pm so armchair enthusiasts can take in all the drama of the BTCC’s three headlining races as well as the majority of the support race action. BTCC highlights will then follow next week on both ITV1 and ITV4 as well as their HD channels. Commentary comes from Ben Edwards, Tim Harvey, Richard John Neil and Simon Hill.
The weekend begins on-line with the dedicated www.itv.com/touringcars web page providing live coverage of Saturday’s all-important qualifying session.

I think its a about time ITVSport should have more live Motorsport on ITVSport. Especially FIM SuperBike World Championship 12 Live rounds and World Series by Renault 7 Live rounds. And James Allen & Mark Blundell as commentators.
