The Glasgow Tigers have been allocated their first ever live televised fixture on Sky Sports. The Tigers will rev-up for the clash against Somerset Rebels in the Premier League on Monday 9th August.
Glasgow Tigers captain, Lee Dicken told The Glaswegian, “If we can go down to Somerset and snatch a win on live TV then wouldn’t that be brilliant. I know this is what management were looking for and, although a home meeting would have been preferable, we will take what we can get.”
Dicken added : “There are a number of young guys in our team such as Jamie Courtney and Nick Morris – who has just turned 16 – who will get a huge buzz from racing on live TV. We have real quality on our side and a great leader in Joe Screen and that must be a great attraction for the TV companies.”
