Newly-crowned world champion Adrian Lewis will take on Phil Taylor on the opening night of the new season of Premier League darts in February, after the PDC released the fixtures for 2011.
The field of eight was set just after the World Championship final at Alexandra Palace, and now the fixtures for the new season of the £400,000 Premier League have been released.
The opening night of the tournament will be held in London at the O2, with the first of 14 league nights, all matches live on Sky Sports HD, taking place on Thursday, 10 February. Other opening night matches include Premier League debutants Gary Anderson and Mark Webster who will face Simon Whitlock and James Wade respectively, while five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld plays Terry Jenkins.
The players will face each other twice during the league stages, with the second half of the season visiting Cardiff, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bournemouth and Newcastle. The top four players will progress to compete in the Play-Offs at the Wembley Arena on May 19, with the semi-finals and final played in one night as the tournament culminates.
