The Olympia Horse Show takes place between 15 – 20 December with coverage on BBC Sport and Eurosport.
The action begins with the dressage freestyle of music on Wednesday, December 15 and the Alltech Christmas Puissance on Friday, December 17, which can be viewed from 20:00 through the BBC red button service or on British Eurosport.
Highlights of the puissance will then be shown on BBC One on Saturday afternoon, with the Rolex FEI World Cup Show Jumping Qualifier presented by H&M broadcast live on BBC2 on Sunday, December 19.
BBC viewers can also see the evening performance live on Monday, December 20, including the Olympia Grand Prix, via the red button. British Eurosport will also screen the showjumping on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings.
Event director Simon Brooks-Ward said: “We are delighted that the BBC and Eurosport still value top level show jumping and dressage at Olympia. For some years, Olympia has been the most watched horse event on BBC.
“However, the old adage that if we don’t use it, we will lose it applies here, so I would urge everyone who is involved in the horse world to keep tuning in to equestrian broadcasts. It is vital that we keep horse sport on terrestrial and satellite television and the way we do that is by winning the ratings battle.

Why can we not have more of the major equestrian events on the BBC,I like many other followers cannot afford to pay for SKY but we have to suffer hours of football,F1,snooker,golf and darts.
I also enjoy watching ralling but that has now disappeared from our screen. I do not expect to receive a response from the BBC as I am only insignificant licence payer.

I put the red button on tonight(Monday) and got Coldplay. Why is this event not available on the Freeview red button?
Margaret, it appears that it wasn’t on Red Button on Freeview – Sky only I’m afraid. Limited streams available on Freeview – but don’t know why they opted for Coldplay over live sport. It was streamed on the BBC website, if that’s any use.
( By the way – this is an old article – we should be discussing this here : http://www.touchline.tv/other_sport/london-international-horse-show-2011-live-on-bbc-eurosport )
