ESPN will bring UK viewers exclusive coverage of the second annual Winter X Games Europe live from the French resort of Tignes, between 16 and 18 March.
The games will feature more than 150 of the world’s top winter sports athletes from the UK, Europe and US. Snowboarders and Skiers will compete in Slopestyle and Superpipe competitions, and viewers and spectators will also see snowmobiling demos during the games.
ESPN will broadcast events live from Tignes on each day of the tournament. Viewers will have access to six hours of live ski and snowboard action and more than nine hours of skiing and snowboarding tricks in the Slopestyle competition.
A host of British talent will be competing in Tignes including Jenny Jones, the two-time Winter X Games Snowboard Slopestyle gold medal winner and 2011 silver medal winner. She will be up against WXG15 gold medal winner Enni Rukajärvi. Also competing are Britain’s Jamie Nicholls in the Snowboard Slopestyle, Katie Summerhayes in the Ski Slopestyle and James Woods in the Ski Slopestyle.
