It’s a weekend of live rugby union as the season of Autumn Tests gets underway on Saturday, 6 November.
Sky Sports will screen England’s clash against New Zealand exclusively live from Twickenham on Saturday, November 6. The match will be broadcast on Sky Sports 1 / HD1, coverage starts at 14:00, with kick-off at 14:30. The game will also be available on Sky 3D where available. Highlights of the England v New Zealand encounter will be on BBC Two on Sunday, November 7 at 11:30.
At the same time as the England match on Saturday, Wales take on Australia, live from the Millennium Stadium. Wales ended last season’s Autumn Test series with a crushing defeat at the hands of the Wallabies, who ran out 33-12 winners. It was the biggest home reversal Wales have suffered under coach Warren Gatland in his three years in charge.
Australia are currently ranked second in the world while Wales are ninth, as preparations for next year’s World Cup begin in earnest. Wales v Australia is also a 14:30 kick-off with coverage on BBC Two presented by Gabby Logan.
Later on Saturday, John Inverdale presents live coverage of the rugby union clash between Ireland and South Africa in Dublin. The match will be Ireland’s first in their newly rebuilt 51,700 all-seater home at Lansdowne Road.
A year ago Jonathan Sexton’s five penalties proved enough for Ireland to edge out an injury-hit Springboks 15-10 at Croke Park. This time, coach Declan Kidney’s Irish side will be looking to bounce back from recent defeats to New Zealand Maori and Australia, as they continue their preparations for next year’s World Cup. Ireland v South Africa kick-off is at 17:30 with coverage on BBC Two.
