The Rugby Football League have confirmed the live games to be televised in the Quarter Finals of the Carnegie Challenge Cup. Warrington Wolves and Hull FC will host the live matches to be screened by the BBC.
The mouth-watering quarter-final tie between Carnegie Challenge Cup holders Warrington Wolves and Engage Super League champions Wigan Warriors will be screened live on BBC Television on Saturday 23rd July.
Warrington, who are bidding to retain Rugby League’s most coveted trophy for a third successive season, will continue their defence on BBC Two in a match which kicks off at 4.30pm.
On Sunday 24th July, Hull FC will play Leeds Rhinos in a televised quarter-final which is a repeat of the 2005 Challenge Cup final, which Hull won by the slenderest of margins, 25-24. The Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos tie kicks off on BBC Two at 3.30pm.
BBC coverage will be presented by Mark Chapman, with commentary from Ray French and Jonathan Davies.
The other two Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-finals, St Helens v Hull KR and Castleford v Huddersfield Giants will both kick off on the afternoon of Sunday 24th July.
