ITV to show Heineken Cup highlights

Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup organisers, ERC, have agreed a new broadcast partnership with ITV which will provide even greater exposure for both tournaments as the 16th season of European club rugby action gets under way this weekend.
The two-year deal will see ITV4 screen highlights packages from both competitions on a Monday night after each round. In welcoming the latest broadcast partners, ERC chief executive, Derek McGrath, said: “We are delighted to be entering into a new relationship with a major broadcast player in the UK market. The deal will enhance UK coverage of both the Heineken Cup and the Amlin Challenge Cup as our tournaments continue to go from strength to strength.”
The ERC’s broadcast partners include Sky Sports, France Televisions, Canal +, Sky Italia, S4C and RTE. ITV4′s highlights programme will give fans and viewers an additional opportunity to savour the best of the action round by round.
ITV4 kick off their coverage on Monday, October 11 at 18:00, with Craig Doyle on presenting duties.
