The 2010 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals take place at the O2 Arena in London between November 21 – 28, and is the year-end culmination to the men’s professional tennis season.
The tournament features the world’s eight best singles players and doubles teams as they battle it out for the prestigious title and the five million dollar prize. Five top men’s players have already qualified including Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Robin Soderling with the remaining line-up to be confirmed.
Featuring a unique round-robin format, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals will see all players playing a minimum of three matches each as they battle for a berth in the knockout semi-finals and beyond. With the quality of each match similar to that of a Grand Slam quarterfinal or better, this is high quality, high stakes tennis.
The event moved from Shanghai to London in 2009 with a five year deal and enjoyed huge success in its first year in the capital.
The BBC has agreed a two-year deal with the ATP to broadcast the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2. As part of that deal, the BBC will broadcast a live match every day of the tournament including the opening match, one semi-final and the final. Full daily coverage of the tournament is also available on Sky Sports.
Sue Barker presents the BBC coverage with commentary from Andrew Castle and Tim Henman, starting with the opening match from 14:00 on Sunday, November 21 on BBC Two and the BBC HD Channel.
