The tournament is one of the region’s most eagerly anticipated sporting events bringing six of the world’s top tennis players to the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex in Zayed Sports City to compete for the $250,000 prize.
This year’s line-up is the best in the tournament’s history and welcomes world number 1 Novak Djokovic who is making his debut at the event. He is joined by defending champion Rafael Nadal along with 16-time grand slam winner Roger Federer. The remainder of the field, all within the top 10 in the world, includes the fiery Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils, both from France, with world number 5, David Ferrer completing the line-up.
With pride at stake, rivalries will be renewed when these global tennis icons play to a sold-out stadium of 5,000 spectators per day with a global television audience of millions expected to tune in.
