British Eurosport 2 will be serving up the best in women’s tennis as they screen the final of the WTA ‘Bank of the West Classic’, part of the US Open series this weekend.
The Bank of the West Classic is the longest-running women-only professional tennis tournament in the world and is the first stop of the Olympus US Open Series.
Held on Stanford University’s campus at Taube Family Tennis Stadium since 1997, former champions include Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Andrea Jaeger, Monica Seles, Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams. Confirmed entrants for the tournament this year include former World Number One Ana Ivanovic and Russian pin-up Maria Sharapova.
Live coverage of the final gets underway at 8pm on Sunday 1st August on British Eurosport 2.
